Creating the feeling of a spacious bathroom is something than can be accomplished with a few simple tricks:

Tip #1: Tile lines – Arranging tiles perpendicularly to longest lines in your bathroom increase visual width.

Tip #2: Mind your grout – Use grout that is the same color as tiles, to reduce lines that appear across the floor.

Tip #3: Use large mirrors to help ceilings look higher while expanding the square footage.

Tip #4: Install a medicine cabinet to maximize wall space.

Tip #5: Match your walls to your tiles – rooms in a uniform color appear larger.

Tip #6: Get light into the bathroom – the brightness fools the eye into thinking the space is a greater size.

Tip #7 Install a skylight, or if a skylight isn’t an option, install windows.

Tip #8: Paint the ceiling the wall color – a different color, especially white, draws your eye to it.

Tip #9: Prioritize storage – clutter makes room smaller because it takes up space both physically and visually.

Tip #10: Narrow your shelving – a good way to build in extra storage space without taking up much room.
